These are a wonderful quick and easy creation that you can control what flavour combinations you like, it’s easy to substitute the sultanas for dried blueberries or the cinnamon for ginger, let your imagination and taste buds go wild!
1/2 cup Manuka honey
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup sultanas
200g pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup chia seeds
200g dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup moist coconut flakes
1/2 cup self raising flour
1.Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and line a baking tray.
2.Melt the butter, sugar, honey and cinnamon in a saucepan.
3.Mix all remaining ingredients in a large bowl then mix in the butter and honey combination.
4. Press the mixture into the baking tray and bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
5.Once the baked slab has cooled cut into your preferred bar size.
This recipe is a great one for people of all ages but especially rewarding when it’s made with kids as it teaches them that many things can actually be made instead of taken out of a box 🙂
